Austerlitz oozing with chances of winning the Owners’ Bonus Series – Heat 3 at Romford
The Grade A4 Owners’ Bonus Series – Heat 3 will be hosted by Romford over 400 metres flat on Wednesday, 9th May. Competing in the £112 event are Austerlitz, Adamant Alex, Rowan Jack, Auction Special, Fallen Angel and Leaha Dominus.
The most accomplished entry on the line-up is Austerlitz, Flying Penske’s four-year-old fawn son out of b***h, Musical Beauty. He has raced only seven times during the new season but improved only towards the last three starts.
His seasonal debut was in a Grade S2 575 metres flat on 5th January at Romford which was won by Dirty Diana who timed the track distance in 36.24 seconds. She led the runner up of the race, Presenting, by three lengths. She took 36.48 seconds
to make it to the other end of the wire.
Austerlitz caught up with the third position by timing the track distance in 36.72 seconds.
After coming fourth twice and then sixth in the next three races, the trainer A. Ingram thought better of it and trained the four-year-old over 400 metres at Romford on 17th April. He completed the trip in 24.98 seconds.
The race right after the training had him scoring the second position. The Grade A5 400 metres flat race on 21st April at Romford was won by Daves Charlene who reached the other end of the wire in 24.78 seconds. Austerlitz missed the race only
by ¾ of a length.
Besides the winner, Jazzy Jane was the other 3/1 joint favourite and finished third after taking 24.90 seconds to settle the race.
On 28th April the 11/4 favourite Austerlitz won the Grade A5 Andy Pipe Birthday Stakes at Romford over 400 metres. He made it to the other end of the wire in 25.06 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Leaway Fitz, by one and a half length.
He managed the track distance in 25.18 seconds and was soon followed by Class Freedom.
His very recent race was on 5th May in a Grade A4 400 metres flat at Romford. He was positioned third after racing for 24.91 seconds.
The 7/4 favourite, Path Of Glory, could only manage the fifth position.
He has all the chances of claiming the race tonight.
