My little cousin has autsim. It's sad, but he is going to this pre-school for them, and it does a lot of good for kids like him. Some of the kids with parents who can't afford the care, get in reduced price or some even free. My mom wants to buy some things for the pre-school or donate some money, but my aunt isn't telling her what is on there list. So my question is, what do austistic kids like/need? My mom would rather bring things and stuff for them.

  1. I think you mean Autism.  My son has it.  He has gone to school in our town since he was in preschool.  He is 12 now.  His schooling has always been free.  She should donate money to the school.  It is really hard to buy for Autistic children.  My son has no interest in toys and games.  I have bought him so many things that he has never played with.  Just donate money then the school can decide where to best use it.

  2. They likely have the same needs that any other preschool would have.

    Consider items such as:

    crayons

    story books

    snacks

    art supplies

    outdoor balls/toys for recess

    simple games

    puzzles

    Good luck!

  3. The best thing is for your mom to get in touch with the school and see what they're needs are. The schools needs, I mean.

Autistc kids are kids. Not "them". Autism is a brain disorder that impedes socialization, developmental delays and other things. But they are still kids.
