Austin, TX - Madison, WI - Asheville, NC - Where would you like to live?

Question

Job does not matter, work for self make decent money and can work from anywhere. Where would you like to live out of these? Just curious.

I live in North Carolina and have been to Asheville many times. I have never been to Madison, WI but I have visited Austin. I was not a big fan of Austin because for my taste it was way too hot. I guess I am used to North Carolina, with varying landscapes, and I did'nt like the dry, treeless conditions of most of Austin that I saw. I felt like Texans were not very friendly, and they lived a very rushed, hectic life. Like I said I have never been to Madison but I assume that it is very cold there- which I would not like very much either. I love North Carolina, I guess partly because I have grown up here but also I love how we really have the four seasons. Our leaves change in the autumn, flowers start to bloom in the spring and you can feel that Christmas is coming in the winter. Asheville is a beautiful place, the mountains are gorgeous and a wonderful backdrop to the very friendly, creative town. Another thing that is great about Asheville is that although you live in the mountians, you can escape to the beach some weekends seeing that North Carolina is the best of both worlds.
