Austrailian Visas.... Help!!?

Hi,

I have a customer who needs an Australian Visa, but to stay for more than 3 months.. almost four actually.

I'm having trouble finding out how to get a long stay visitor ETA, have obtained a short stay.

  1. Your customer should apply for a Tourist Visa (sub class 676) which is a temporary visa generally granted for a stay of 3 months or 6 months. In certain circumstances a stay of 12 months may be granted. The period of stay granted will depend on the purpose of the visit and their personal circumstances.

    OR, once they are in Australia, can apply for an extension of the standard 3 months to take their total stay up to 6 months from the date of last entry.

    The standard Tourist Visa (sub class 976), is only for 3 months and cannot be extended.


  2. i suggest you go to the australian government website and go through the links for tourism, there'd be a contact number there aswell for over the phone service aswell.
