Austrailian swimmer thorpe

can anyone tell me when the swimmer i think his name was ian thorpe was around. he was called thorpedo. was he ever in any olympics and has he retired or something

he quit right after a new drug test came out. it was out of nowhere. im positive he was doping and i hope phelps proves him wrong and wins 8 gold medals :)

he was in the 2004 olympics and ones before that i think, but he's retired now.

Ian thorpe won five golds three silvers and one bronze. In Athens. He quit swimming 'to get a life'. Now works as a TV presenter for History channel at the moment.
