  1. hi! i live in Australia.

i think that there is probably about the same amount of Aborigines and Asians in australia.

But i think that there would be more Aborigines than Chinese( even though there are alot of Chinese)

It also depends who you classify an Aborigine

If your great-great-great relatives are slightly aborigine then you are considered aboringine to some people

    hope ive helped  =]

  2. I was only asking the same question to myself today as I walked through the Brisbane Shopping Mall. I love Asian people but gee, there seems to be more of them each day!

  3. dunno about Chinese MATE but there is a lot of Asian people in brissy & lot more on the coast

i dont count them the asian's or the aboriginies so i dont know

  4. I don't know the answer to your question but I would say not. Just for your information, the Chinese were already here living peacefully amongst the Aboriginals  when Cook made his so called discovery. You will find that info in Australian history books in any Australian library.

  5. Why are you mentioning specific ethnic groups? We are a multicultural country and everyone blends in as well as each other.

  6. Some good answers above, and did ya know lots of Australian Aborigines are also Chinese??  That's because their ancestors intermarried with Chinese.

  7. Dont be racist...

I live in Sydney.. in the south west.. Yes, sydney does have alot of asians.. But yeah... You dont see many aboriginies in Sydney do you? because i dont.. But there are alot of them. in the cabramatta area, there are probably more viets than there are chinese. Thats what i notice, because I've lived there, grew up there. And moved to a S****y suburb..

  8. The Australian 2006 Census showed 455027 people who claimed to be Indigenous Australians.

That census showed 315265 people who claimed to be Chinese, so to answer your specific question, there are more aboriginal people in Australia than Chinese people.

Of course, there are many Asian people who are not Chinese. When you add our Vietnamese, Thai, Tibetan, Malay, Singaporean, Japanese, Southern Asian and Asians from dozens of other places, the total number of Asians in Australia would be greater than those of Aboriginal descent. And what about our Italian, Canadian, Norwegian, Irish etc etc etc people from every conceivable country and race?

    So what!

    Who Cares!

We're all Australians and the sooner we all start thinking of all of our people as simply Australians, the better off we'll all be.

  9. no way mate ther aint none of them around here
