  1. I strongly feel that Cameron White can be considered in the team as an all-rounder rather than a bowler.  He cannot be considered as a front line bowler and even if Ponting wants him to be their frontline spinner., White has to struggle to improve his bowling skills..

  2. I am not sure Cameron White is the answer unless he improves an awful lot.  His spin bowling is barely State level let alone ODI.  His batting is inconsistent as well although he can hit a very long ball.

  3. yes i think very much so, because Cameron not only can bowl some good leg spinners but he is very handy with bat.by that he becomes very useful weapon in Australian ODI side.plus he has been very consistent in domestic circuit and in icl as well.it becomes very clear for selectors to fit in the team

  4. cameron white is a slogger, who is a c**p bowler.

  5. now Australia cant find a good spinner as macgill and warne, they have to wait long time.

  6. right now, no i honestly dont believe he is a good enough bowler, he bowls a good wrong 'un and top spinner, but thats all he has, i dont think he spins the ball enough to be our front line spinner

however, i think it depends on how much he wants to play for Australia, he wont get in as a specialist batsman alone, the depth of batting talent here is so deep that you need to be able to do a little bit extra to try and get infront, therefore if he wants to be a regular member of the side, he has to learn to spin his leg break, if he does that, coupled with his ability with the bat, well he could be a capable replacement

  7. He will need to improve dramatically. White appears to be becoming more of a batsman that can bowl a little. Still, he is only young, and is still learning his trade.

Given enough exposure, he has the capabilities to become a very good player.

He would be a worthy replacement, and could actually take the spin bowling role on a step further due to being a great lower middle order batsman. Sort of the spin bowling replacement for Gilchrist, if you see what I mean.
