  1. Apparently, a lot of direct investment (i.e.investing in each other's trades/companies whatever), they trade tourists a lot apparently :D

"Significant exports to Australia [from New Zealand] include machinery and equipment ($645 million), mineral fuels, mineral oils and products ($493 million), and logs, wood and wood articles ($353 million)"

"Imports from Australia [to New Zealand] with the largest values in 2002 were in mineral fuels ($845 million), vehicles, parts and accessories ($587 million) and mechanical machinery and equipment ($410 million)."

    Hope that helped a bit.

JZD: Have you eaten your crayon? No euphemism, was just a failed reference to a comedian (in relation to swings and roundabouts). But never mind :(

  2. Boomerangs and didgerdoos are exchanged for sheep.

The advantages are that it stops the verdant pastures of the Northern Territory being over-run by sheep whilst providing a vital livelihood for the six mega-sheep farmers in NZ.

The disadvantages are that the NZ indigenous boomerang and digeridoo manufacturers are having a tough time with the Aussie competition whilst the few Aussie sheep are very lonely.

But hey, it's swings and roundabouts ( another well-known another source of expert and import)

    Edit:

No, I've not eaten my crayon (is this a euphemism?); I just treat these sorts of 'homework' questions (especially those in which the asker can't even be bothered to spell-check it) with the disrespect they deserve.
