On Lunch Day 2, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 A have moved on to 84 for 1, after bundling out Zimbabwe XI for 230 in the first innings, of a four day tour match, played at Country Club, Harare on July 16, 2011.
A good partnership of 84 between Aussie openers, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DA-Warner-c1301 and Phil Hughes, came to an end just before the lunch break, when Warner fell on 48.
It left Phil Hughes (34) and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Usman-Khawaja-c2729 (0) on the crease, trailing the host by 146 runs.
Earlier, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Malcolm-Waller-c74039 on 1.
However, the day brought no luck for the host as they could only add 24 runs on the board.
There was no respite shown from the Aussie bowlers as Chigumbura failed to open in his account, trapped leg before wicket off the bowling of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/PM-Siddle-c2197.
Siddle struck again, this time removing Tendai Chatara for a duck too, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Michael-Beer-c1949 taking a good catch.
Next to go was Brian Vitori, caught by Hughes, handing pacer, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BW-Hilfenhaus-c1204, his first wicket of the innings.
The last man to be dismissed was Njabulo Ncube, who edged to wicket-keeper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TD-Paine-c2652, giving Siddle his third wicket of the day.
Wallace was left stranded on 14, with the Kangaroos completing the rout in less than an hour.
As the visitors came out to bat, they attacked the Zimbabwean bowler from the start.
Both openers looked in good touch with Warner especially, dealing in boundaries.  Phil Hughes also looked assured, playing a supporting role to Warner, with good effect.
They easily crossed the 50 mark for the side and it seemed that both will carry the bat through the day.
Warner however, just 2 runs short of what would have been an excellent half century, fell to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/F-Mutizwa-c1426 took a good catch.
Warner and Hughes shared a good opening stand of 84.
The next to come in was Khawaja who faced a single ball before umpire’s removed the bails and called lunch.
