Australia Domestic: South Australia pegged back after brisk start
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Australia-c844 scored 159 runs batting first against Queensland in the Big Bash Twenty20 tournament at the Adelaide Oval.
The captain of the South Australian team Michael Klinger won the toss and elected to bat first. The wicket was flat and Klinger was hopeful of a huge first innings total to put pressure on Queensland.
The team opened with Klinger and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Daniel-Harris-c1310 but the start was not as good as Klinger had expected at the toss. The South Australian captain fell in the very first over after just scoring 6 runs.

However, the Queensland bowlers bounced back in the game as they got a few quick wickets. The second wicket to fall in the innings was that of Christian. He had done the damage though as he scored 41 runs off just 25 balls.
Christian’s innings included five fours and one six. He was stumped after he tried to play an attacking shot by coming down the track.
Another wicket fell soon after the departure of Christian as Harris advanced down the track to clear mid-off but mistimed his shot and was caught by the long-off fielder, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ben-Cutting-c1132.
Harris scored 45 runs off just 36 balls and hit five four in his innings. The platform was laid for the middle-order batsmen to take the score to over 170 but the West Indian star Kieron Pollard was dismissed without scoring many runs.
Pollard was dismissed for 6 runs and South Australia were all of a sudden 4 down for 106 runs.
The fall of wickets did not bother Callum Ferguson as he continued to score runs positively. Ferguson hit one six and one four to take the total to 159 in the allotted 20 overs. He remained unbeaten on 38 from 27 balls.
The attack bowlers of Queensland were below par but the scenario changed all of a sudden when James Hopes and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chris-Simpson-c1251 started their spells. Simpson was superb as he took three wickets for just 17 runs in his four overs. Queensland captain Hopes was
also very good with the ball as he took two wickets for 21 runs in his four-over spell.
Queensland did not allow South Australia to get away with too many runs and they will be eying to chase down the total with ease.
