England were in a dominating position on the second day of their second warm-up match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Australia-c844 with a lead of 161 runs.
The pick of the bowlers was none other than Graeme Swann. The spinner rattled the South Australian batsmen by taking four wickets for the second time in the tour.
It was Swann’s prolific bowling that finished off the hosts for 221 runs along James Anderson who took three wickets. Both the bowlers bowled with tight line and length and frustrated the South Australian batsmen.
This is especially a good sign for James Anderson who has made a comeback from a broken rib injury.
In reply, England Skipper Andrew Strauss’s 56 helped the visitors to 94 runs without any loss. Alastair Cook was unbeaten on 37 runs.
Earlier in the day, the proceedings were delayed for about an hour due to rain.
The England side had an injury scare when Jonathan Trott left for the dressing room after hurting his shoulder while attempting a catch on the boundary, but he returned to the field after receiving treatment.
The English side is in a strong position to win this tour match before going into the third and final warm-up match against Australia A at Hobart on the 17
November.
