  1. Hi all; I reckon the country who will not participate or players will be the losers as no one remembers who did not participated in Russian Olympics or Athens. If today it is Pakistan then tomorrow India then Sirilanka, Bangladesh... then England. ICC is very right in their decision as changing a venue will start a new tradition as players and countries will always wish to play in an environment suitable to them. As most the players in Aussie, NZ, SA and England are touching the toy light of their careers so it is difficult for them to play in India or similar places. You can see the performance of Ponting and all seasoned players in IPL, whereas, Shane Watson of Australia and Suhail Tanveer of Pakistan were the best players. Before being dropped by Australian team few retiring players forward similar reservations about playing in England due to bomb blasts in London. Strangely Indian and Pakistan fought two wars and they are enemies but cricketers from both the countries feel safe and love to visit one another countries as they know that not a single sportsman is hurt ever by any group.

On the other side it will be a great success of terrorist who will prove a point that we are coward and they have won!  They have shrunk the world for us. Soon we will be confined to few countries... or rather English Speaking countries.

I request to all Cricket lovers to please help Cricket thrive and discourage these terrorists who have no country, no religion and no love....... God keep us all safe! Thanks.

  2. What is the point of the Champions Trophy?

It is a "B" tournament less popular than, the world cup, T20 world cup, IPL, Champions League etc.

Players and coaches moan about having a busy schedule all year round, well why doesnt the Champions Trophy just be scrapped all together?

Having 2 world cups is enough!, why does the ICC feel it necessary to have another tournament which no-one really cares about. The world cup would be more anticpated if the Champions Trophy was scrapped, enough ODI cricket is played already.

If all the "white" teams pull out, then the Champions Trophy should not go ahead, what would be the point in hosting another Asia Cup (plus West Indies)

and if the teams have the audacity to send B squads to the Champions Trophy, then i will be disgusted. This would mean teams woud only care about the "safety" of the "star" players.

Anyway England have to pull out of this "Minor" tournament, because if someone gets hurt, they will regret the decision for the rest of there lives

  3. The chances of this being a successful tournament is looking slimmer ans slimmer by the minute..

The ICC have to open their eyes up and listen to the players, how many more players are going to come out and say they are not going over to Pakistan..

If these 4 teams pull out of this then it should be called the Asia cup re-run.

The Aussie's,the Pom's,the Kiwi's and the Protea's all need to get together and put there own matches on and in a safe place too,at least no players will pull out of there matches..

I really feel for ALL cricket fans over in Pakistan, but how many still have the power on anyway, and do the ICC even expect to get a crowd to these matches, well i hope not because i don't think too many will risk their lives just for a cricket match..

If the crowd aren't willing to risk their lives then why should we risk our players lives...

  4. Well that's bad news if Aus, Eng, SA & NZ pull out. It wouldn't be as exciting. The only interesting match will be Sri Lanka v India v Pakistan, it's ASIA CUP all over again! . But hey, look on the bright side - India's chances of winning are now greater. SMILE.

    Have a great day!

    Kind Regards.
