  1. Choked, please..they were slaughtered like lambs at Easter..lol

  2. i think that new-zealand choked more, my reasoning for this is that new zealand were easily better than france but they switched off and werent concentrating on the game, australia still fought into the final minutes but mortlocks kicking style was so poor that he missed important kicks

  3. Austrailier choked more!!  New Zealnad were playing Fance at home!! and we all knwo that, on the day, france are the best team in the world- it's the consistency that's the problem!

England on the otherhand!!! They played abysmally in the group stages!! loosing 43-0 to the springboks then only jsut beating Tonga, Samoa and the USA (who aren;t as good as a good club side)!! to loose to the england team in their present condition....

  4. the kiwi's of coarse.. i mean come on you were playing the french....THE FRENCH!!!

  5. New Zealand...They have been working for this for three years (aus only got their act together recently) and New Zealand were red hot favourites. They were in the game and could have won it, but the fear of losing suffocated them and this made them make wild and brain dead decisions.

Their performace in Cardiff was the very definition of a choke.

  6. to be honest i think they were more worried about the semis aussie were thinkin ohh **** we have to play the all blacks next week nd then wen the abs found out the were playing ozzy they thought omg we win this game then were in the final and then 80 minets later!!! omg shud we ring aussie and see if they just wana play a friendly game somewhere nd pretend its a final?? lol but they both chokedd!!

  7. I'd say the Aussies did.

Mortlock had a penalty with a few minutes to go but missed it. That was a clear opportunity to win the match but he CHOKED. The kiwi's didn't have such a straight forward chance to win but they still messed up opportunities.

  8. The Kiwis choked full time.

They are experts at it now.

It is second nature for them.

  9. I think the Allblacks never realy choked coz the winning try 4 da French was a forward pass n what if dat try did`nt stand and eventhough Aussies did`nt play well 4 me they just didn`t hav the will or show the will 2 win so no one realy choked coz knockout stages are very difficult unlike group stages.

  10. I would say New Zealand...Australia just didnt click at all, while New Zealand had a healthy lead at the end of the 1st half.

They didnt perform the haka that well, the French just stared at them and the All Blacks seemed worried.

  11. We both lost

Does it really matter who lost worst

Lets get over it unless someone needs to inflate their own ego

  12. No one of these two teams choked as they are still the two top teams in the World. In all fairness when in comes to playing tournaments, it a whole new ball game where they are still to work out the right formula.

They may need to look at holding a practise tournament a year before the World cup with all the Southern Hemispheres  teams to work this out.

Both teams played their hearts out and they played very well, but so did their oppositions and given how every team gave their all, sometimes a bit of luck can make a differences.

  13. Difference is, I couldn't really care if New Zealand lost to France... however... as a Scotsman I thought I could rely on Australia stuffing England. Not because I've actually got anything against the English, particularly, but if they go on to win the World Cup we'll end up hearing about it before every match in the Six Nations again... and that's not just in matches England are in, either.

Thanks, Australia. You might not like living with losing to them, but try living next door to them when they've just won something.

  14. Australia. They were well beaten and deserved their loss. They had no outside determining factors resulting in their loss. With New Zealand factors like injuries and poor refereeing (even acknowledged by the IRB) cost them.

  15. I'll say it again. The All Blacks lost a game they could have won. The Aussies were beaten in a game they did not deserve to win.

The only choking was done by Australia's tight five trying to get their heads out of their a'holes.

  16. New Zealand choked more.

Australia never really had the game won, unlike NZ.

Though im a little biased being an ozzie myself.

They both pretty much fell flat on their faces at the finishing line.

  17. I dont think this question really applies anymore both teams are out.....

however to humour you - they are formidable in the running game, they use there wingers to break down defensive walls, they have brilliant breakaways and there forwards are there to backup - however both teams played into the hands of there counterparts slowed the game right down and pretty much went down hill from there.

In saying that neither team choked they just played like there counterparts and there counterparts know how to play themselves better - they have been playing like that for years.
