  1. -What is the main role of each house in Parliament?

    To give the Australian people a place to keep the Government accountable, through the use of state Sentators, or district MP's.

    -Describe how bills (laws) are passed.

    The bill is first introduced into the House of Reps, debated, passed to the Senate, then passed back to the House of Reps, when passed there, the bill is turned into an Act.

    -Explain the seating arrangements of both house.

    The party in Government is located on the right side of the chambers, with the independents/Greens etc up the back centre, and the party in Opposition on the left hand side.
