Australia Women v New Zealand Women - Rose Bowl - 4th Match - Toss report
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 Women have won the toss and elected to bat first in the fourth and final match of the ODI series against New Zealand, about to begin at North Sydney Oval, Sydney.
After getting outplayed in the opening match, where the Aussies lost to the Kiwis by eight wickets at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the girls in gold have bounced back marvellously, winning the next two games, leaving them with an opportunity to seal the series by beating the girls in black today.
The Australians would be banking on their openers MM Lanning and RL Haynes to get them through in the finale, as the two batswomen were phenomenal in their side’s previous victories.
If the duo gets going today, they will certainly wreak havoc on their opposition, who have not been able to find any answer to Australia's outstanding batting.
While MM Lanning hammered 72 in the second encounter, she improved her record by jabbing an exuberant 103 in the third game, which saw Australia chase down 178 for the loss of one wicket in 21.2 overs.
Meanwhile, her partner RL Haynes crafted a beautiful 70-run knock in the second match, and if she is sent out to open today she will do some more damage.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 now need to regroup and save the series today by beating the mighty Aussies.
Pitch Report:
The wicket at North Sydney Oval will favour the batswomen, where it will be a tad difficult for the bowlers to keep their line. However, consistency will reward the bowling contingent.
The Australian pace attack has proved lethal even on unfriendly tracks, which means they will be relying on the likes of EA Perry and co to neutralize the opposition.
