The ICC World Cup 2011 match between Australia and Zimbabwe has come under the International Cricket Council scanner after the Australian openers Shane http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Watson-c96326 and Brad Haddin started the match very slowly.
The match was won comfortably by the Kangaroos. However, the openers scored just 28 runs in the first 10 overs, which prompted an investigation by cricket’s governing body.
Australia’s coach Tim Nielson defended his team saying, “I thought they played well in game one. Everyone had this perception that they went slowly. But if Zimbabwe were going to be competitive against us, they needed to take early wickets with their spinners.
We're playing the way we think is the right way to play.”
