I would like a brief summery of what Australia was like after both wars. I am studying it next term and would like to get a little bit of knowledge before starting the topic.

  2. Best general introduction to post-WWII Australia is a general study of Robert Menzies. He was PM from the late forties until the mid sixties. You should also look into the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne (which instigated the introduction of television here). For cultural concepts, look at the film 'Jedda', and Ray Lawler's play 'Summer of the Seventeenth Doll', which are both canonical stories for Australia.

    WWI did not have such a big impact on Australia, but the important thing to look at is the development of the Anzac spirit and the beginning of Anzac Day.
