  1. http://www.uac.edu.au/ use this to search for your desired course then you can just type in the name of the university of your chosen course to see what they are like.

The best university is the university of new south wales it supposedly has the best labs in the southern hemisphere or so ive been told not sure if its true.

  2. Sorry, there doesn't seem to be a single search engine, but each state of Australia except Tasmania has one: (I didn't look at NZ)

    NSW www.uac.edu.au

    Vic www.vtac.edu.au

    Qld www.qtac.edu.au

    SA and NT www.satac.edu.au

    WA www.tisc.edu.au

It's bewildering isn't it, even for Aussies. I would suggest you pick a city you would like to stay in, and then look at the unis in that city, otherwise there are just too many options. I don't think there are any dodgy ones, but some are bigger than others, some have more international students etc. The oldest universities in the biggest cities are the most prestigious, but I wouldn't necessarily say they were better.

Once you have narrowed it down to a couple of course options and a couple of unis then ask again about them - I suggest asking in 'travel, Australia' as that's where most Aussies on YA answer Australian questions.

    Good luck
