Australia beat England in nail-biter

Australia started their innings chasing a mammoth total of 333 with confidence. SR Watson and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BJ-Haddin-c1170 opened their innings. Watson looked in elegant form as he played beautiful strokes in the power-play overs, while his team-mate Haddin looked rather subdued.
Haddin was the first one to go with his individual score of 20 runs, contributing to a solid start of 71 by the opening pair. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CJ-Ferguson-c1264 joined Watson at the crease, but this partnership did not last long as Watson had to depart making a quick 51 runs off

46.6 overs. JW Hastings joined Clarke in the middle after SPD Smith was run out for a duck. Clarke was later run out on 82, bringing Brett Lee into the middle to join Hastings. It was Hastings who hit the second ball of the last over for a boundary, taking
the Australians to victory.
England’s Finn took 2 wickets while Anderson, Yardy and Pieterson took one wicket each.
