We're really very multi-cultural and this has influenced our menus and recipes. When it comes to food, most Aussies will give it a go and try just about anything. There are a few Aboriginal Restaurants which are quite professional and provide delicious menus using traditional Aboriginal ingredients. Most of our early recipes, which were brought over by convicts and settlers during the 1800s, are English and Celtic dishes. These old favourites are still found in many Aussie homes even today. We've come a long way from the days of damper and billy-boiled tea!

Australia is a very muticultural country. Other than the aborigines (the original resident of Australia) there isn't really anyone who's native :-).

So Australia Best Food:

- Vegemite (it's an acquaired taste :-))

- Seafood (especially Moreton Bay Bugs which only exist in Moreton Bay in Queensland)

- Meat Pies

- King Island Cheese (from King Island, Tasmania)

- Anzac Biscuits and Lamingtons

- Tim Tams (chocolate biscuits)
