Australia’s young sensation, Pat Cummins, is all set to make his mark in Test cricket when the Aussies go up against South Africa in the second and final Test match of the series, to be played at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg,
on Thursday, November 17, 2011.

The Australian skipper has hinted at the possibility of drafting in Cummins, as the 18-year-old has been in good form off-late.

Apart from Shane Watson and Ryan Harris, the rest of the bowling brigade was below par in the first Test, and this has forced the management to turn towards Cummins.

“He's done absolutely everything right He's keen as mustard for an opportunity. He's swinging the ball away from the right-handers and he's bowling good pace. There's certainly a chance that he could be playing tomorrow,” said
Clarke.

Cummins made his ODI and T20 debut against South Africa in October 2011, during which he troubled the Proteas batsmen with his pace and swing.

The young bowler is a wicket taker, and according to Clarke this is just the call of the day, “There's one definite change and the possibility of a couple of others. We have to pick a team to take 20 wickets and also to be positive
and confident with the bat as well... we've got to take the game forward.

Ryan Harris is a bit stiff and sore, so we're waiting to see how he goes. But nobody's got any great concerns and we'll probably be able to pick our best XI.”

Australia lost the opening fixture by eight-wickets and are in a must win situation at Johannesburg. The Proteas are supposed to stick with the winning combination, whereas Aussies will be without Shaun Marsh, who has been ruled
out of the series due to a back injury.

Usman Khawaja has been called into the roster as his replacement and is most likely to play in the outfits.

South Africa (probable XI): Graeme Smith (captain), Hashim Amla, Mark Boucher (wkt), AB de Villiers, Imran Tahir, Jacques Kallis, Morne Morkel, Vernon Philander, Jacques Rudolph, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe

Australia (probable XI): Michael Clarke (captain), Shane Watson, Pat Cummins, Brad Haddin (wkt), Ryan Harris, Phil Hughes/ David Warner, Michael Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Usman Khawaja, Ricky Ponting, Peter Siddle
