Queensland skipper James How blazed away with the bat as the Bulls sealed an eight-wicket win over New South Wales and made it to the preliminary final of the Twenty20 Big Bash to be played in Hobart.

Ben Laughlin led the Queensland attack claiming three wickets for 25 in four overs. Chris Simpson returned with 2 for 8 while Hopes, Feldman and Ipson shared one wicket each.
In reply, Bulls were in command from the start of their chase as the opening pair featuring skipper James Hopes and Michael Lumb grabbed 66 runs from six overs of the Powerplay. Belligerent Hopes played a whirlwind knock of 62 runs
which came off just 38 deliveries while Lumb scored a 26-ball 40.
