Australia look forward to end their losing streak
The team that used to lose rarely in any form of cricket is in search of a rare victory these days. The Australian team has seen the worst slump in their entire cricket history over the past year and the Kangaroos will be looking forward to win the second
Twenty20 match against England to be played tomorrow.
A newly appointed captain brought some new hopes for the Australian team but unfortunately for them, the result was the same as it has been in recent history. Australia lost the match by one wicket on the very last ball of the match.
There were some positives for the Kangaroos in the first Twenty20 match as their star all-rounder Shane Watson almost won the match for his team. He will be crucial for the team in the second match as well which will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground
(MCG).
The sixth captain for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 in Twenty20 cricket Cameron White will be looking forward to perform in the next match as he failed to impress in the first match. White added just six runs in the Australian innings and was out at a very crucial stage of
the match.
Australia will also be expecting their pace duo of Brett Lee and Shaun Tait to do well in tomorrows match since, both the express fast bowlers failed to trouble the English team in the first match.
A win in the next match will be ideal for Australia heading into the ODI series and the team will be hopeful of shifting the winning momentum to their side.
On the other hand, England will be pleased with their performance. They are the current Twenty20 champions and they certainly played like a champion team yesterday.
Australia started the innings with some fireworks from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Watson-c96326 and David Warner but the visitors were able to bounce back in the match and didn’t allow the Australian middle-order to finish on a high note.
The English team has a very strong combination of youth and experience. Michael Yardy was the bowler who halted the flow of runs for Australia. The clever left-arm spinner will be looking forward to repeat his performance in tomorrow’s match.
Even though England managed to win the match yesterday, they will be slightly concerned with their batting collapse in the middle of the innings.
The visitors were going along very nicely, but all of a sudden, lost too many wickets which almost cost them the match. Eoin Morgan wasn’t rusty at all as he collected 43 runs in the match for England.
However, it was the debutant Chris Woakes who kept his calm in the match and guided his team to a historic last ball win. With his performance with the bat, Woakes will also be confident of making it to the final 11 tomorrow and he will be looking to perform
with the bowl as well, just like he did with the bat.
Australia has lost last five of their Twenty20 matches and this is not good for the team that was the 2010 Twenty20 World Cup finalist. The team needs a win badly but their opponents will definitely be looking forward to take advantage of the pressure on
them.
