Cricket Australia have included Test bowler http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Iftikhar-Ali-Khan-Pataudi-Nawab-of-c64075 Cummins in their 30-member provisional squad for this year’s Under-19 World Cup, to be held in Australia, in August.
Cummins, the 19-year-old fast bowler from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 at Johannesburg in November. Unfortunately, the Johannesburg Test was
Cummins’ only Test appearance, after he sustained a foot injury and was ruled out of the home series against New Zealand and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
After recovering from the foot injury, the teenager made a comeback to the competitive cricket by playing for Australia U-19 in a quadrangular tournament held in Brisbane a couple of months ago. He is currently ranked 64th on ICC Test bowler rankings
and 222nd in the One Day International format of the game.
The ninth edition of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Queensland-c834 from August 11 to 26, and the participating boards are supposed to submit their provisional squads for the tournament at least 60 days prior to the esteemed event, while the
final 15-member lists are expected to be submitted 30 days before the first ball of the competition is bowled.
All the 16 teams have submitted their provisional squads, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751 have announced their captains for the tournament, Australia will name theirs with
the final squad.
In the latest edition of the Under-19 World Cup, the Kangaroos will be defending the title, which they had won after defeating http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 in the final of the previous edition, held in New Zealand, in 2010.
