http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 offers to host the Pak-Aus series – Cricket News Update
With the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) finding it hard to confirm a suitable venue for their home, limited-over series against Australia, the Cricket Australia (CA) has offered their counterparts an option to stage the contest in the northern part of their
country, provided if the PCB fails to name an alternate destination.
The CA official, Petery Young, told that Australia is keen to assist Pakistan in making the necessary arrangements for the series, which includes five ODIs and three Twenty20s. The series is expected to take place in mid-August, after both sides have completed
their commitments against Sri Lanka and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 respectively.
“Pakistan is still the host and we’re relying on it to find us a venue. We realise that hosting the series in Australia may be a bit expensive but if the PCB doesn’t find any other venue, we can schedule it to take place here,” told CA Public Affairs GM
Young while talking to The Express Tribune.
Earlier the series was scheduled to take place in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 prior the commencement of World Cup Twenty20 in September. The Sri Lankan cricket board however, withdrew the offer following the conformation of the inaugural Sri Lankan Premier League, due to
be held during  the same period.
The chairman PCB Zaka Ashraf is hopeful of finalizing the venue in the coming days and he further revealed that the board intends to make the series cost effective, allowing them to earn sizeable revenue.
Other suitable options also include http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, with the BCCI content on improving its ties with their counterparts - allowing Pakistan’s top domestic level team to take part in the Champions League T20, while also inviting PCB chairman to watch the final of
Indian Premier League (IPL) on May 27.
“We are seeing where the cost will be less. If the cost is less (in India) there’s no harm in organising http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashraf-c46397.
Apart from Australia and India, the PCB is already in negotiations with the South African, Malaysian and UAE cricketing authorities, all of whom have shown eagerness in staging the contest. There are further plans to change the itineraries of the contest
– a possibility which could see both sides playing seven T20 Internationals.
