Australia or England? Whats Better? ?

Hi. I am Australian, and also English. Parents are Oz and Brit, and I have two passports, one for each country. I currently live in the UK, with my son who is 8. His dad has re-married, and rarely see's him. (He lives in England.) He doesn't help me at all....

My mum lives in Melbourne Aust, and wants me to come home with her grand-son. Its a big step as I have lived in the UK for 10 years. But all my family are in Australia. All of them. And I am single after a crazy 6 year relationship with a man who was divorced in paper only, if you know what I mean. (Pu$$y whipped by his ex wife...)

I have loads of great friends here...Augh.

I am not happy where I live, so maybe its time to move on, and go to where my family is, so they can help me with my boy? Right now its just me supporting him...

What do you personally think is better. UK or Australia?

Thanks!

  1. oh sorry to hear abt the divorce hunnie ok this is what i would suggest do u work if so talk too ur boss blag it abit say ur down right now and need a break so take a few weeks off work if u dont work then cool take mayb e2 or 3 weeks off and go down to australia spend time with your familey and if u feel strong happy relaxed then stay there but in them few weeks if things run smoothly then whats stopping u returning too england (didnt mean that in a nasty way ) as u said ur familey is there u can make new friends but be sure that where ever u end up is that you and your son are happy

  2. Each country is so different. I would not call one better than the other. But if I was in your shoes I would move to Australia purely because of family. It would probably be a good change. You would get to see & live in a different part of the world.

  3. Australia sounds good right now, but ask your son what he thinks is best.

  4. Im sorry to hear of whats happened with your ex husband etc it doesnt sound to healthy for you or your little boy.. Woww hmmm Australia or England.. Well seeing as I havent yet been to Oz (im plannin on doin so october next year) but i have lived here in Engaland for ever I cant really answer your question, but I did want to say that if all your family are over in oz and your really not enjoying your lifestyle here in England then I say "What you doing hereee!!" :) Go for it, go back to oz and start afresh for you and your son, your sons at a perfect age to move him aswel, in a few more years time he will become very opioniated and perhaps not want to move to oz so then you'd be stuck here.

You say you have great friends here in England well all i can say to that is if their that great then im sure they will come and visit you and your son in Melbourne right?? :)

At the end of the day, Only you know what's in your heart, but whatever you choose all the best for you and your son:)

  5. Hey im like you! Australian and english - :-)

I think you should go back to Australia - really you should! Before your boy gets too old and refuses to go if he doesn't want to - if you aren't happy where you live then its definately time to move on - you can email your close friends or even get a webcam and talk to them on msn!

You're much better off with your family - Good Luck!..x

  6. I think you should be with your family, they will be able to help and support you the most.

  7. go to Austalia who knows you might be happier there cos' you're not alone everybody's there while in UK they cant really support u or watch u on what u do cos its too far away..so go to Aus..and plus it's so nice there
