Australia or England?

I may be biased because I am Australian, but I lived in England for 18 months and can safely say that Australia is better on so many levels.  My English boyfriend also agrees.

Eloquent places? How can a place be eloquent? I was not aware that locations could speak, let alone speak eloquently. Is this who you're going to take advice from?

England is ok, if you like that whole clouds rain thing. The only thing to recommend it is the proximity to the rest of Europe. But as far as living, Australia is way better! Such great weather, beautiful beaches, and the people are really great - happy, fun-loving etc.

England is yesterday's country with dismal weather, grimy cities, overcrowding, lots of history but not much future and heaps of social problems. It's a good jumping off point for Europe and other more attractive places in the northern hemisphere, but that's about all it has going for it. For crying out loud, they don't even have SAND on most of their 'beaches'! The food is terrible except in expensive restaurants and I've never noticed the place to be particularly 'eloquent' (sic) whatever that's supposed to mean.

Australia is one of tomorrow's countries with amazingly good weather - our worst is much better than England's best; clean uncrowded cities; wide open spaces; few social problems; jobs for everyone who wants to work and not much history but an incredibly bright future for its people. We have the best beaches in the world and they stretch for thousands of kilometers. Our food is wonderful and incredibly varied and cheap (though we do have expensive restaurants) and I'm sure we're 'eloquent' too. Downside is that we're an awfully long way from the rest of the world (though Asia is close).
