  1. nothing dangerous. depends where u live

  2. daddy long-legs

    money spiders

    harmless

last place i lived had some red-back spiders a bit harmful if bitten got bit once in 20 years(felt sick for a few hours)

  3. I'm 16, and I've lived in Sydney all my life.

Most insects/spiders are harmless, but, like everywhere, there are some that can do some damage.

Mostly cockroaches, daddy long-legs, red back spiders and crickets.

Cockroaches are very easy to get rid of if you hire a pest-control company to clean out your house.

Daddy long-legs can get quite big but are completely harmless. They are poisonous but do NOT bite humans as their fangs are too short to allow them to do so.

Red-back spiders are very poisonous and are very well known in Australia. They are not very common inside, although outside you might want to check under chairs or tables and spray around with some bug-spray, just in case.

Crickets are not harmful, and they are found outside, and mostly in summer.

I hope I helped you, and good luck with your move!

  4. Mainly cockroaches, but most houses should have a pest control carried out annually, which tends to keep most things away.

I lived in Sydney for 10+ years, and I hate spiders etc, but I was OK there, not living in the bush of course !

I now live in QLD, but I also have an electronic gadget that seems to stop spiders coming near us.

I did however notice a spider in the kitchen a few months back, and may get the pest control people out early, they are not due till November.

There have been no deaths in Australia from a confirmed spider bite since 1979.

  5. It's fine, just wolf spiders and funnel webs... wolf spiders look scary, but they're pretty harmless and funnel webs are dangerous, but to be honest... I was living there last year, I'm oversea's now (Aussie), and I didn't see one... they don't hang out waiting for you to get home or anything.. it'll be sweet... have fun - and please don't kill them, chase them away outside... they have a purpose too : )
