1. lamingtons,anzac biscuits,pies

  2. Just bring a bottle of Vegemite.

  3. "Pavlova" is a popular Australian dessert, and my personal favourite :) :

    Here's a picture:http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:LTXR...

Remember that the oven temperature is in degrees celcius, so 180 degrees C = 350 degrees F

    Or you could try "lamingtons":

  4. apricot chicken is a national dish:

    1 tbspn Sour Cream, optional

1 Zucchini, sliced into ribbons with a peeler

    Potatoes, for mashing, when serving

  6. Icing: to cover 12

buy: a bag of confectioners/icing sugar more than 12 oz

you need 2 or 3 tablespoons of cocoa

you need at least 12 oz of desiccated coconut

    1 oz butter

3-4 tablespooons boiling water or milk

ICING: Sift icing sugar and cocoa into a bowl, combine butter and boiling water/milk. mix till its creamy and then you may have to put this bowl in another one to stop it setting while you work. Have cubes of cake one side, icing in middle and big shallow bowl with coconut on onther side.

Get a fork and get a cube of cake, dip in icing or spoon runny chocolate sauce/icing over cube, allow excess to drip off, roll in coconut to totally cover cube, put on wire cake rack to 'set' repeat until all gone. Too easy mate!

FOR THE CAKE PART, WE CHEAT OVER HERE TOO:

Go and buy a big rectangular slab of plain vanilla or 'sponge' cake from your local supermarket or bakery, cut into cubes 2 inches square, buy at least 12oz of confectioners sugar/icing sugar while you are at the store and a big bag of coconut, check home cupboard for cocoa before you go out.

ps. Apricot chicken is not an Australian dish

  9. make a pav!

or lamingtons and anzac biscuits. i dunno if honeyjoys are aussie?

or do the simple thing. go out and buy some tim tams :D

  10. Desert?

    Well, theres pavlova, and lamingtons..

pavlova is a cake packed with sugar and egg whites..

while lamingtons are bloody easy to make.. sponge cake, cut in cubes or whatever, covered in melted chocolate, and rolled in coconut

  11. try any of the above items, but I would like to see you make a series of pavlovas, they are simple, just egg white and sugar [when you beat the egg whites with sugar they peak better] then pipe into a circle and fill in the bottom, when that is done you simply fill them with fresh fruit [or frozen fruit] and serve with fresh whipped cream

    good luck

  12. ice cream and fruit or apple pie homemade
