Chanderpaul achieved this feat in the third Test match against Australia, being played at Windsor Park, Dominica.
The left-hander needed 14-runs to reach the milestone figure, when he came out to bat for the West Indies in their second innings. The veteran batsman stayed composed and did not let the excitement of joining
the elite 10, 000 club get to his head.

Chanderpaul becoming the second West Indian batsmen to cross the 10, 000 run mark was the only thing the Caribbean fans enjoyed, as day four of the Dominica Test was completely dominated by Australia.

West Indies still require another 197 runs to win the match and they have five wickets in hand.
