Team India is not doing much wrong, they are just short on luck believes Virat Kohli. The 23-year-old cricketer from Delhi reckons that luck has a lot to do in cricket and unfortunately for the Indians, things just haven't gone
their way.
Shedding some light on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750’s bleak performance in the ongoing series against Australia, Kohli said, “Luck is a very important thing in cricket, sometimes it doesn't go your way and sometimes it does, but unfortunately it hasn't
been going our way in important phases. We have lost wickets before breaks, after breaks, just before lunch, just before tea, we have lost important wickets at important times.”
Kohli reiterated that technically Indians are as sound as ever and the temperament is there as well, the only thing lacking is a bit of fortune. He said, “That is all that has been happening, it is not a matter of temperament or
technique, things just haven't been going our way.”
The Men in Blue have never tasted a series win in Australia. They had a great opportunity to win the ongoing Test series this time since the current Australian roster is relatively weak as compared to its predecessors, but the
Indians wasted it by losing the first two Test matches at Melbourne and Sydney.
All that is left for the Men in Blue is to salvage a draw from the four match series. However, after a lacklustre performance on the opening day of Perth Test, levelling the series now seems a far cry.
The star studded Indian batting was bundled out for a mere 161 runs in their first innings. None of the batters were able to cross the 50-run mark. Kohli, who so far had a dreadful tour of Australia, was the top scorer with 44.
The Aussies strengthened their hold of the match by posting 149 runs without losing a single wicket. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DA-Warner-c1301 led the onslaught with a breathtaking innings of 104 runs from 80 deliveries.
Kohli believes that Indians are still in the match and can still bounce back, as there are four days of play left in the game. The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 lad said, “I don't rate it as the worst day of Test match cricket I have experienced. It is
just one day, there are still four days left of Test match cricket.”
