Australia v Sri Lanka - Sri Lanka tour of Australia - 5th ODI – Toss Report
Sri Lanka have won the toss and elected to field first against Australia in the five-match ODI decider at Bellerive Oval, Hobart.
With two wins for Sri Lanka, this match is everything to play for as the hosts would certainly not want to lose a home series. While http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 would not want to end the series on a losing note especially with their impressive comeback after having lost the
opening game.
The abandonment of the fourth match due to wet outfield irked the tourists as they had a mighty chance to lifting the series on that day. However, they would be looking to repeat their third ODI performance, today, where they incinerated the home side on
just 74 runs, and then went on to win the game in 20 overs. If Sri Lanka win here, they will become the first visiting team in Australia to win two back to back bilateral series.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978, who due to an injury, has been replaced by Glen Maxwell.
Australia’s biggest problem in this series has been their top-order which has let them down on more than one occasion. If their openers manage to subdue Sri Lanka’s lethal pace attack, the hosts will manage to post a daunting score on the board.
Sri Lanka would be looking to make life of a captain-less Aussie side a tad difficult as they now have a serious chance of taking the series. Beating Australia in their own backyard is something no team would ever want to see slip out of their hands.
Meanwhile, this will also be Sri Lankan skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DPMD-Jayawardene-c1397’s last match as captain. He has already stepped down for the upcoming T20 series.
