Australia wins first Twenty20 against New Zealand

Australia has won the first of two Twenty20 matches against New Zealand. The visitors dismissed the Kiwis for 118 and chased down the total with four overs to spare to win the match, in Wellington, by six wickets.

It was never going to be a total that New Zealand was going to be able to defend. Even without David Warner and Shane Watson tearing the game apart (each was dismissed for 19), Australia had little trouble finding the required runs.
