Australian Bred Hedgehogs...?

Are there any hedgehogs that are bred in Australia? I know it's illegal to import them into Australia, but is it possible to find any in Australia?

OK, I know that no hedgehog varities are indiginant to Australia and they forbid the importation to Australia as a pet which you already know. I cannot find any rescue centers or breeders listed in Australia not even a blog group or a meet up.

Call animal control.  It's their job to manage animals, as well as deal with the illegals that inevitably find their way in.  They can tell you if they're legal to own and will probably be able to tell you where to find them.

Vets, pet stores, wild life rehabilitation centers can all tell you about keeping and aquiring animals in your area.
