Australian Cricket Legend Adam Gilchrist starts business in India with Sandalwood Supplier

Gilchrist, who leads Kings XI Punjab, an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, is greatly respected and loved in India. He is also familiar with the Indian conditions.
The Aussie legend is confident of his both his cricketing and business skills and hopes that he can perform his new responsibility in an excellent way.
Talking to the media at Melbourne after his appointment, Gilchrist said, “There's a perception from outside India from people who haven't been there, or, haven't dealt with business in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, that it's all doom and gloom, nothing can get done, and it's all hard work”.
He further told, “But I beg to differ ... like in any game, if you've got a sturdy business and sound foundation to work from, and there's a negotiation that's required, things can get done and get done well”.
In the new corporate paradigm, using sports celebrities for marketing strategies and business promotions has become a trend. Some renowned corporations hire well-reputed sporting figures with heavy amounts and appoint them as their brand ambassadors, or, commercial models.

The 39-year old started his international cricket career in 1996 with the 50-over format of the game. He made his Test debut three years later. The wicketkeeper batsman played his first T20I in 2005.
Gilchrist had played 96 Tests, 287 ODIs and 13 T20Is before announcing his retirement in 2008. He has 5570 Test, 9619 ODI and 272 T20I runs to his name.
