Australian Cricketers’ Association still concerned about playing in UAE – Cricket News Update

The Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA) is not happy with the schedule of the upcoming limited-overs series against Pakistan in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 (CA) to rethink.
Since the terror-attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009, no international team has visited Pakistan, making the national side play its home matches outside the country. In the last three years, the Green Shirts have played their home matches in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 and
UAE.
The series was originally scheduled to be played in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 in August/September. However, the Islanders backed out at the last moment because of the dates clashing with the Sri Lankan Premier League (SLPL).
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and CA have agreed to hold the series in the desert, although ACA expressed its reservations about the extreme weather. PCB announced the tour itinerary earlier this week, which includes three One Day Internationals and as many
T20s.
The ODIs will start at 6 PM, to avoid the heat, which means that the matches will carry on till late night. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Paul-Marsh-c81144, the ACA Chief Executive expressed that he has been in contact with the Australian players and wants to make sure that the boys are ready
to play against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 in UAE.
ACA maintains that CA must consider the players’ comfort before finalising any series.
"We've spoken about it several times and they are certainly aware of our views on this issue. We're concerned about the heat and we're not comfortable with the playing hours. There are issues there with the players playing sport at that time of night,” http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simon-James-Marshall-c90362
said.
The son of the former Test wicketkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rodney-William-Marsh-c86419, further revealed that it is not in the ACA's domain to question the timings of the match, but the organization will certainly raise the players’ voice.
He added, "We can't stop Cricket Australia scheduling games at this time of the day. We have an MoU in place that has parameters around scheduling, but that is pretty much to do with number of games in total, breaks between games
and those types of things. This type of issue we haven't encountered before."
