Australian Driver's License - Proof of age in USA for bars and clubs?

Can i use my Australian Driver's License in the United States as proof of age to get into night clubs and bars? Or do i need my Passport?

  1. It's not one of the legally recommended methods for age verification, but some bars and clubs may accept it.  A passport, however, is one of the legally recommended methods so all bars and clubs should accept it.


  2. When I was there, some places accepted it but most wanted to see my passport. Try and wear pants or shorts with a zip pocket (or get a zip sewn into an existing pocket) so you're not worried about it falling out should you decide to go dancing.
