Australian Idol voters discriminative?

Question

Do you sometimes get the same sense as me that the voting public is racist/discriminative when it comes to voting on Australian Idol?

How it's always the Asian (Big Brother included) who gets voted out first or at the beginning even if they can sing better than many of the others.

Another example is recently on the news how once Channel 7 revealed all the Idols who were Christians, they were all voted out the following weeks.

Yes. It is shocking to learn that discrimination still exists in a multicultural society we are in but what can we do?

It is true that some people of certain backgrounds aren't as welcomed as opposed to other backgrounds but face it, aren't we all racist in some way? There is no denial of that.

For Nobbi from Big Brother, the only reason he managed to stay that long was because the Eviction votes were made by the Housemates themselves but once this power was passed onto the public, he faced eviction. Asians are no different to any other people - why treat them this way? What makes the people discriminating think their background is not talked about or hated?

God, it annoys me to know the truth about the existence of discrimination in this world.

Grow up! It is like kids going to others Ï hate him! I hate her!

I think 'voting' on those shows is a ridiculous waste of money.

Anyone can vote one million times if they have the money, and obviously those with the most persistent family and friends win every time.

As for discrimination against christians, I don't agree. The best known Idol winner is Guy Sebastian who never made any secret of the fact he is a christian, and other entrants have not paid any penalty for it.

If those ones were voted off, it was porobably because they hid it. People do not like it when others pretend to be one thing and are not.
