Australian Institute of Sport v http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 Emerging Players – Day 2 Recap
On the second Emerging Players Tournament, South Africa Emerging Players piled on the runs, declaring their first innings on 407 for 6, with a special double ton by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Reeza-Hendricks-c2304.  The match was played at the Endeavour Park, Town on August 7, 2011.
The Australian openers, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Marcus-Harris-c1897 (11) weathered out the final hour in their second innings, posting 23 without a loss.
The Proteas resumed Day 2 from 76 for 1, with Hendricks and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Temba-Bavuma-c92965 taking guard, on 44 and 11 respectively. Both players looked at their fluent best, dispatching the Aussie bowlers to guide the total past the 100 mark.
Bavuma, after making 53, was cleaned up by left-arm slow bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Farhaan-Behardien-c56785 on a 2-ball duclk.
This brought the AIS back into the game; however, Hendricks remained strong on one end, continuing his assault on the bowlers with ease. He brought a deserved century and was in no mood to slow down.

However, by this time, the South African Emerging Players had crossed their opponent’s first innings total and now looked to build on a commanding lead. Their conquest was aided by an impressive 6th wicket partnership between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mangaliso-Mosehle-c74145
and Hendricks, which took the match further away from the hosts.
In a 148-run stand, both players made a mockery of a bowling attack, which simply looked flat. While Mosehle made a commendable 68, which included 8 boundaries and 2 sixes, Hendricks blasted his way to a towering ton, which had everyone to his feet, occupying
more than seven hours on the crease.
The youngster simply was unstoppable and was certainly one for the future. His partner then went, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ritu-Raj-c2325 taking his scalp.
There was still time for the Proteas to cross the 400-run barrier, with Hendricks carrying his bat through the innings. The right-hander made 222, a double nelson score, which included a whopping 27 boundaries and 2 maximum strokes out of the park.
On the other end, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shaun-von-Berg-c2506 remained unbeaten on 4.  
A lead of 183, Aussie ended the day with all their wickets intact, however, will be looking to play for much of a tough, third and final day.
