Question:

Australian Open 2009?

My friends and I are looking to go over to Melbourne (from NZ) for the Australian Open next year, hopefully all the semi finals.

Tickets go on sale in October and I was wondering how quickly do the tickets sell out for the semi's?

  1. Semifinal tickets go pretty quickly so I would get them as soon as they go on sale.

General ticket sales begin with Series packages on 9 October through 19 October.

Single session tickets go on sale on 20 October.

If you don't want to buy a Quarterfinal and Semifinal package, the earliest you can get the tickets would be 20 October.

You can get them directly from Ticketek in NZ.

You'll need day and night sessions on 29 & 30 January. That's 4 sessions at 179.90 AUD per session.

If you wait for single tickets to go on sale, most likely your seats will be in the upper, covered sections.

  2. I would say about a month/ month and a half after they go on sale, based on previous experiences.

Any tickets after about 1 month are sometimes dodgy, so get them as quick as you can, and you will enjoy a good view.
