We live in australia and going to south africa at xmas. We have to buy gifts for babies all the way up to grand parents.. What unique gift could we give?

  1. Take them some Vegemite!! Yum!!

    Go down to where tourist go near you and you will find heap of souvenirs. Get a Koala or Kangaroo Teddy. Or Framed Photos of Australian landscape. T-shirts.. Aboriginal Paintings or craft. Or an akubra hat.


  2. South Africa is a big rugby nation ,so a Wallabies shirt ,hat ,scarf etc

    CD of Aussie songs ,available pretty cheaply at any record store.

    Some Australian Wine (among the best in the world)

    If your in NSW try Parklea Markets for cheap Australian souvenirs (be careful a lot are made overseas)

    Billabong and Mambo board-shorts or Tshirts ,beach towels ,hats ,rash vests are always a hit with Teenagers

    Any RM Williams item like a hat or wallet

  3. kangaroo booties are a cute gist for kids, boomerangs? the rocks markets in sydney have heaps of unique aussie stuff

  4. Go to a tourist trap like Darling Harbour in Sydney and look at all the silly stuff.

    It really depends on your price range.  There is some stunning art or jewellery available in galleries.
