how much do you think its worth? it is from ww2 i think.

Go on ebay and see if any of them are online.  It would be worth more to someone who was looking for that specific helmet.  You need to find out when it was used & by what rank, if at all possible.  Maybe you can find a story about it that will increase interest.

If there is a gun show in your area, there might be dealers who specialize in  that sort of thing on hand.  You can take it in (but there'll probably be an entrance fee) and see if they'll buy it.  I'd case the joint and see what helmets are selling for before I'd try to strike a deal.  They are trying to make money to pay for the table space (very expensive), their travel and hotel, etc., so want to mark it up a lot.
