Australian magpies. How long do they live? Only answer if you truely know the answer please.?

Like a lot of larger birds, the magpie can live a fair while.  It is not unusual for a particular bird to be in a neighbourhood for several years.  I didn't know how long but the first site says 30 years and the second says 23 years maximum, average life is 4 years.  Like most wild animals they often do not survive their youth, which brings the average down.  Those that survive their foolish and inexperienced youths tend to live a lot longer as they learn things.
