Australian marimba piece, last 25 years?

Do you guys know any pieces suitable for the marimba written by an Australian in the last 25 years? It does not have to be originally written for a marimba, just suitable to be played on the marimba.

  1. Sorry man. I'm not familiar with AU literature. Check out the AU Marimba festival site

    I think mostly AU brings in other artists. Writing isn't huge in that department there I don't think.

    I know Ross Edwards is pretty big though. He wrote Marimba Dances for solo Marimba in 1982 I think.

  2. i only know of one great aussie composer,...Percy Grainger!

    check out his works---most are for wind ensemble but i am certain that a couple would transpose to marimba very well.

    hmmmmmmm, sounds like a fun project!
