Australian only. Syd 2 Bris trains.?

Question

Does anyone else find it strange that the train from Sydney to Brisbane (overnight) goes all the way to Roma Street yet the train from Brisbane to Sydney (overnight) requires a coach trip to Casino as the train only comes that far?

are you sure that's right it has been a long time since i travelled by train but 10 years ago it used to go from Bris- Syd

i prefer to fly now the good old days of overnight trains are well gone, when i was younger i used to Love catching the Spirit of Progress and the Southern Aurora from Syd-Melb

but i Find its so much better and cheaper to fly the good old days of interstate train travel are well gone

Origionally there there where 2 routes Sydney - Murwillumbah and Sydney to Brisbane. When they closed the Murwillumbah branch they kept the same timetable and terminated the train at Casino, bit silly really.
