I have a childs passport still valid for 2 years and plan to travel overseas on it at very soon, I am over 18 now, but can I still travel on my childs passport, or do I need to get an adults one now that im 18?

Also, getting to my main question, I have had a change of family name due to parental seperation. Can I still travel on this (childs) passport even though it is in my previous name? I have ID that is still in my previous name, and my updated birth certificate that details the change. I would rather not have to get another passport because of time constraints, and the fact that I am a little strapped for cash right now, being a poor college student!

  1. you may have to be issued with a new pass port as it will be hard to have a certified copy of your birth certificates with you all the time and certified copies of your old and new licence. go here https://www.passports.gov.au/Web/NameCha... and have a poke around.

might want to talk to someone in gov
