where has australia been on peacekeeping mission? can u give a list of countries?

  1. I know for a fact that the Aussies were with the Coalition at the beginning, but most have pulled out of Iraq by now. Most people don't know it, but the Australians are quite active with the U.N.


  2. Australia has had a peacekeeping role on the Israeli-Egyptian border since 1948 continuously as part of the UN.It is the oldest UN operation.

    Zimbabwe (that was a British Commonwealth peacekeeping operation). Rawanda/Uganda was another British plus UN operation.

    Cyprus, Cambodia, East Timor, Solomon Island, Lebanon, West New Guinea, Somalia are just some of the 57 UN operations (out of 63) that Australia has taken part in.
