Question:

Australian postal address search.?

I am trying to track down someone who lives in Australia. I know that she lives in Perth and I know both her maiden and new married names.

Are there any Australian web sites that may be able to help me find her.

I would rather not go down the line of a private detective as i feel that although I would like to contact her it does not warrant such extreme measures.

Perhaps an Australian may be able to find her name in a local phone book but there again does yahoo answers exist in Australia.

  1. Yes, Yahoo! Answers is worldwide.

I'm in Australia right now and I'd say most of the other answerers to your question are too.

If you can't find the name you're after in the white pages, she probably has a silent number.

She may also be on the silent electoral roll as well.

Don't you know anyone who also knows her?

Maybe, she doesn't want to be found by anyone.

Edit: The answerer who suggested Facebook has given you a really good idea.

  2. try the western australian electoral rolls ?

  3. Go to www.peoplesearch.com.au

  4. name may be under partners first name initial

  5. Yep!

    http://www.whitpages.com.au\

    p.s. Perth is in WA

  6. I have to agree, the white pages link is the best place to begin, though if she has a common name and you don't know the suburb it may not help very much.

If you have a look at the flags down the bottom of the page you will see that Yahoo! Answers does indeed have an Australian site. I'm posting from Perth myself, though I always log into the general site rather than the Australian one; but I think the international sites are basically just mirrors of the main one anyway.

  7. Hi,

Go to www.whitepages.com.au. In my last job I had to track down people who's number or address had changed. This one is a big help.

    Happy Hunting!

  8. Try this:

    http://whitepages.com.au/wp/resSearch.do

It searches for people by last name, state and area.

  9. The Australian white pages as has been suggested and link given is your best bet. Here is another site that allows a search also. http://www.australian-records.com/index....

Failing that you could always place and advert in the personal column of one of the major papers of the city. Maybe even try Facebook? I know I have found quite a few friends that way myself. Good luck in your search and I do so hope that you are searching for a good reason and are not some stalker type dude.
