Just want to see if anyone knew why the Australian R.L. test HERITAGE shirts were Maroon and Sky Blue. Is there a specific symbolic reasoning behind this?

  1. It was a replica jersey that Australia worn 100years ago against New Zealand at the SCG.

They should have worn the traditional green & gold, it is much more recognisable & better looking.

  2. I agree with first answer... i know they are celebrating heritage but they are a new generation of players and deserve there own jersey.. green and gold..

  3. It was actually a jersey Australia wore after there first one, which they used in the first game. The original one had just the Blue of NSW, but the one Australia wore tonight was to show a joint partnership of colours between the NSW and QLD teams, the jersey was first worn in 1908. As previously said, but it wasnt there first.
