  1. Most Australian Shows aired overseas are like "Neighbours", "Home & Away", "Blue Water High", "The Wiggles", "Hi5",  "H20 - just add water", "Cybergirl" etc. So most of the Australian shows being aired overseas are children's shows.

  2. No not shows like that. If you think about it, those shows are just copies from American Idol and America's Next top model. So other countries would have their own versions. Same goes for so you think you can dance.

Why anyone would want to watch any of these shows is beyond me.

I think some crappy, pointless story-line, low budget, terrible acting soap operas like neighbours and home and away are broadcasted in other countries though.

  3. No I wouldn't think they'd have those ones you mentioned, because they are just Australian versions of American shows already. They have their own.

But I think Home & Away and Neighbours is broadcasted to a couple other countries. They seem to like it more than we do, lol.

  4. No we have our own versions.

Edit: which is why i said no, they don't air over here because we have our own versions.

  5. The United States has American Idol, Americas Next Top Model, and So You Think You Can Dance

  6. Mythbusters is made in San Francisco but it was conceived and financed in Australia.  Most of the administration is in Australia.

Then there is of course dear old Neighbours which seemed to have a lot more fans in the UK than it did in Australia.  I would not know if it's still running because I don't watch much TV and specially not stuff like that.

  7. Neighbours

    Home and Away

    Kath and Kim

Prisoner (It was reversioned for the American market as Dangerous women)

Blue Heelers (Screens in the UK)

All Saints (Screens in the UK)

Thank God You're Here (Screens in both the UK and US)

Mc Leod's Daughters (Screens in the UK)

    Stingers (Screens in the UK)

Water Rats (Screens in the UK)

Love My Way (Screens in the UK)

The Secret Life of Us (Screens in the UK)

In their 'Hey Day' the following Australian shows were screened in the UK

    A Country Practice

    E Street

    The Young Doctors

    The Sullivans

    Sons and Daughter

    Chances

    Rafferty's Rules

    Carson's Law

Number 96 (there was a US remake of the same name, but it was short lived)
